چکیده

The aim of this work, to estimate the External exposure, ingestion Exposure and inhalation exposure dose rate from gamma ray released from Natural Radionuclides in cultivated, uncultivated and phosphate soil samples in the area surrounding EL-Naser Factory for phosphate in El-Mahamid, Idfu, Aswan, Upper Egyp by using modeling, this model studied the exposure gamma radiation from different natural radionuclides 226 Ra, and 228 Ra, in samples, and also using conversion factors for all radionuclides for different ages according to ICRP 90. The activity concentration ranged for 226 Ra was 13.2 ±0.5 – 34.3±1.3 and for 228 Ra was 12.2±0.524.4±0.9, for 226 Ra was 5.5±0.3 41.8 ±1.5 and for 228 Ra was 4.0±0.2-22.0±0.8 and for 226 Ra 20.7±0.7 590.9±19.2 and for 228 Ra was 125.1±42 – 277.4±1.5 for cultivated, uncultivated and phosphate soil samples respectively.

Radiological Hazard Resulting from Natural Radioactivity of Soil in East of Shazand Power Plant

Introduction: Nuclear radiation is potentially harmful to humans and soil contamination with radionuclides is the main source of human radiation exposure. These radionuclides can., enter to human body through the food chain. In this study, 34 soil samples were collected from between Arak city and Shazand Power Plant over 20 km length and analyzed. Materials and Methods: The specific activities ...

Radiological risk assessment of use of phosphate fertilizers in soil

ABSTRACT Background: The radiological impact of the use of phosphate fertilizers in soil is due to the internal irradiation of the lung by the alpha particles, short lived radon-thoron progeny and the external irradiation of the body by gamma rays emitted from radionuclides in situ. This paper describes the results of gamma spectrometric measurements of the concentration ...

محاسبات آهنگ دز ناشی از پرتوزایی طبیعی موجود در سنگ‌های گرانیتی ساختمانی در ایران

All building materials contain various amounts of natural radioactive nuclides. Materials derived from rock and soil contain mainly natural radionuclides of the uranium (238U) and thorium (232Th) series, and the radioactive isotope of potassium (40K). Radiation exposure due to building materials can be divided into external and internal exposure. The external exposure is caused by direct gamma ...

Study of the Radiological Doses in Karbala city

Background: Man-made  radionuclides, which are present in environment, have been created by human activities and added to the inventory of natural radionuclides for example 3H, 131I, 129I, 137Cs, 90Sr and 239Pu, in spite of the amount added is little compared to natural quantities. The aim of this study is to estimate the levels of radiological doses in the soil samples collected from different...
